It’s no secret that we’re not fans of the whole PUA community. I think a lot of it is sleazy and downright manipulative. Yes, I learned this PUA stuff too in the beginning and it definitely worked but it doesn’t make you happy. Why you ask? Because you’re doing things that aren’t really you. You’re doing all this game playing that’s actually pretty manipulative.
I was watching this rom com(for those not in the know, it’s short for romantic comedy) “Play It Cool” with two of my girl-friends. It was a pretty entertaining movie even though it still followed the same clichés that most Rom-Coms follow, which is guy and girl meet, there’s some kind of obstacle, they somehow overcome that with the “love conquers all” spiel and then they end up happily ever after. Seen it a million times. If I sound cynical, I’m not trying to. I think love is a beautiful thing and one of the great things in our lives, but I also think there’s a lot of misconceptions and that it gets portrayed unrealistically.
